Molineux

We lived near London Luton airport. My friends worked at London Luton airport. They invited me to their home. We were planning to meet on Sunday because that is our holiday. I booked the company cab. I reached there early in the morning. My friends liked to play and watch football matches. Here in Molineux Stadium, a friendly match will start. We booked a company cab. Our journey will start after 30 minutes. The cab driver arrived on time. He was a well-dressed and well-mannered man. He welcomed us with a smile. Our journey duration was almost 2 hours and 35 minutes. We use the M40 route.

We reached the stadium on time. Molineux Stadium is located in the West Midlands, England. It has been the home ground of the Premier League club since 1889. The first stadium was built for use by a football club. It was the first British ground to have floodlights installed and hosted the earliest European club games. The Wolves bought the ground the stadium stood on after that and started building a new main stand, which was designed by Archibald Leitch .In 1939, Molineux's highest attendance was 61315 fans seeing the FA Cup match. In 1975, the Molineux failed to meet safety requirements and instead built a new grandstand.

However, this new stand impacted Wolves, finances and brought the club to the brink of bankruptcy. The two stands were used in the 1980s. The club lacked the finances to make improvements to the ground. In 1990, Sir Jack Hayward bought the club, and funding was available for the redevelopment of Molineux. Three remaining old stands were demolished and replaced with new ones between 1991 and 1993.In 2010, Wolves announced a redevelopment programmed for Molineux. Three stands were rebuilt and linked up, which would lead to a capacity of 38,000 seats. Work started in 2011. which was completed in 2012.

Wolverhampton Wanderers planned to expand the capacity of Molineux ground was around 50000. The promotion to the Premier League was seen as a big increase in the demand for tickets. The club was planning to first replace the Steve Bull stand on one side. The new stands will increase the capacity of Molineux from the current 31700 to around 36000. England played two UEFA Nations League groups against Italy and Hungary at Molineux, the Wolves’ home, in June. The stadium entry was via electronic turnstiles, and tickets displayed a barcode. To gain access to the stadium, the turnstiles were opened 90 minutes before kick-off.

We already buy online match tickets. There are many markets and restaurants around the stadium. We eat our meal after the match and go towards the market. I really enjoyed the tour, brilliant time with friends and family. Food and drink are also on point. Everything is clean and well maintained. The only problem was the result. The Wolves lost. We finished our tour and booked the same company cab again because we were very comfortable in this company cab. I am grateful to my friends who invited me and also thankful to the company who provided us with a comfortable cab.
